How we started?
LiftEd was founded by three Hong Kong students currently studying at leading UK universities. Having experience navigating our way through the UK university system, we understand from first-hand experiences the challenges that students may face. From choosing the right pathway to adapting to a very different academic culture, tends to find students overwhelmed during the process.
Our Mission
We started LiftEd to bridge the gap between Hong Kong secondary education and UK higher education. Too often, students get lost and confused on what they want to study. Schools often only provide fragmented or generic advice that focuses solely on applications. We believe students deserve clearer guidance, honest feedback, and preparation that supports not just university entry, but long-term success. So that when they look back, they know they chose the right pathway for themselves.
Our Approach
At LiftEd, our approach is structured, personalised, and student-centred. We take the time to understand each student’s background, strengths, and goals before offering advice. Our guidance is grounded in real academic experience across different universities and disciplines, combined with years of tutoring and mentoring experience.
As current UK university students, we remain closely connected to the realities of university life — from interviews and coursework expectations to independent learning and transition challenges. This allows us to offer advice that is practical, relevant, and up to date.
